Ive known my friend 2nd grade, now we are juniors in high school. He used to go out with this one girl and he absolutely treated her like shit. He would call her fat and a bitch. Even though sometimes he was joking, it still dosent matter, i treat a girl with respect. but anyway when he broke up with her (he did it in a text by the way) he told her off for no reason and called her a hoe and all sorts of rude shit. After he did that, his X started talking to me and i calmed her down about the whole situation and she was crying and stuff. I have been chilling with her now and her and i have built a really strong relationship, and i have some deep feelings for her now. I know I’m probably end up going out but im gonna keep it a secret around my friend. Also my friend has stabbed me in the back plenty of times. But do you guys think it would be fucked up to go out with her? ive talked to many girls before but i have a different feeling for this girl

It is a bit messed up to go for a best friend’s ex. You can do it but it could be awkward. However this friend doesn’t sound like he’s much good anyway.

This sounds like it has high potential to put a major dent in your friendship, or even end it. I’d think it over if I was you. Even though your friend has stabbed you in the back a few times are you willing to ultimately end your friendship over a girl? You can try to keep it secret but doing so will be extremely hard and somebody is bound to find out and spread the news around. In which case your friend will be even madder because you never said a word to him about it or even asked about it if was okay. For all you know he wouldn’t have a problem with you dating her. He obviously didn’t care for her that much and was a huge jerk to her, so why would he care if you dated her? Bring up the idea somehow and see what he says. If he doesn’t like it then either convince him it’s no big deal and that he shouldn’t care, hold off or date her and run the risk of ruining a friendship over it.

Yeah… It’s a messy situation- She likes abusive pricks. And you get to play the hero if you go for her, so you would feel good. But she is on the rebound. You would have to choose her over him completely and gain an enemy. It is a destuctive move on your part. And when you break up with her- then you have an ex girlfriend and an enemy in high school.
Don’t do it.
