Ive known my friend 2nd grade, now we are juniors in high school. He used to go out with this one girl and he absolutely treated her like ****. He would call her fat and a *****. Even though sometimes he was joking, it still dosent matter, i treat a girl with respect. but anyway when he broke up with her (he did it in a text by the way) he told her off for no reason and called her a hoe and all sorts of rude ****. After he did that, his X started talking to me and i calmed her down about the whole situation and she was crying and stuff. I have been chilling with her now and her and i have built a really strong relationship, and i have some deep feelings for her now. I know I’m probably end up going out but im gonna keep it a secret around my friend. Also my friend has stabbed me in the back plenty of times. But do you guys think it would be fucked up to go out with her? ive talked to many girls before but i have a different feelings for this girl

It sounds like you should ditch this “friend”. whether you go for this girl or not you need to get rid of this so called friend. he sounds like a total tool. go for the girl and forget the friend
honestly if you really like her and she likes you then go for it. That golden rule about dating your friends ex could make you miss out on a golden opportunity. If he was the one that was wrong in the relationship and not her then it really shouldn’t matter to him because that means he didn’t care about her anyway. If he have a problem with it then oh well he shouldn’t have let her go. His Loss!
Your friend sounds like an ass. Just because you have been knowing him since 2nd grade does not make him a good person. So under the circumstances that you have given, go out with her. Why keep it a secret, if you truly care about her you should not have to hid the relationship from your friend. I feel that would be disrespectful to the girl.
On page 3 of The Unwritten Book of Friend Rules, it says (in the fifth paragraph): Thou shalt not date thy friend’s exes. So… if I were you I’d casually ask your friend about it. If he gets upset… do it anyway and keep it a secret from him. And I only say this because your friend sounds like a real douche bag. If he doesn’t appear to care, let him know what’s going on.

Wow you’ve got a really shitty friend!! You should ask her out it’s not like if your friend and her are still going out. And plus he has stabbed u in the back!! What kind of friend is he? Just go out with her you seem like a real gentleman she’ll definately say yes.
