was our first choice for a title, but we felt it would not represent the whole story behind the reason we need help in obtaining a used car donation.

It’s not so much the phone call to reschedule or the time lost while waiting for the wrecker to arrive and making a dozen or so calls for temporary transportation for the days that it takes to wait for estimates and such. And then the call….that’s always unexpected, “I’m sorry to have such bad news for you, but based on the condition of your car, it is not repairable!” At that point we recognized a car donation request was our best option.
That’s where we find ourselves today, which would be just a routine part of our daily tasks, were we a large organization with branches throughout the country. But the reality of the issue for In Him Ministries of Jax, is much different.
Our Mission is the work of supporting families and individuals to help them build strength into their relationships. It is clear in today’s world that marriages are under attack, and along with the challenges faced by couples, there is the inevitable damage that is inflicted on the family that depends on them, especially the kids.
This is a Mission that we carry to the streets through the work that Mama E does each day, appointment by appointment and seminar by seminar. Ours is a hands-on type of Ministry. We go to the people that need our services. We deliver help the old fashioned way…. door to door. And a car donation would allow us to continue doing the work that energizes our Mission.
Yes, we make house calls, which is why we now find ourselves making a mass appeal for a car donation. While we will walk or ride the bus or take a taxi when necessary to do what is needed, it is easy to understand why our Mission rides on wheels….or at least it did until recently.
